E3.series Analysis & Verification


Assign attributes to all E3.series objects.

E3.series possesses powerful functionality for defining attributes, which can be assigned to all E3.series objects. These attributes have a type and meta properties, like pre-defined value lists, uniqueness criteria and rules regarding frequency.  All this enables you to specify various states that can be used for verification, calculations or control of analysis systems.



Electrical Verification
New functionality for calculating or verifying DC nets is included in E3.cable. The customer can enable or disable the calculations as needed. E3.cable supports several different calculations based on attribute sets.


E3.Saber Frameway integrates Synopsys’ Saber simulator with E3.series. This enables design engineers to create right-first-time robust wire harness and fluid designs, helping them address growing project complexity and time/quality constraints through early access to virtual prototyping results. The solution provides direct integration for the multi-domain simulation of cables, wire harnesses, hydraulics and pneumatics with the Synopsys’ Saber Simulator.

Cost & Weight Calculation
E3.series can also perform calculations and attributes easily managed – specific attributes can be defined in the component library or during the design process, then  at the press of a button E3.series will compute the desired information. For example it can work-out the weight of the cabinet, illustrate power loss, display heat distribution, calculation of the flow rate etc.
3D Collision Control
All 3D data within E3.panel can be transferred to 3D mechanical design systems. Alternatively VRML or STEP AP203/214 data can be used. Using this data standard functions within the 3D system will show the simplified model of the cabinet. The design can then be installed in the 3D model of the whole electrical system and collision checks can be performed.
